Geometry Math Quiz Monday May 1st
1) Names of all polygons learned (triangles, quadrilaterals, etc) - As specific as possible!
2) Specific names of triangles (e.g. by angles and by sides - acute scalene, equiangular equilateral,
etc.)
3) Properties of each polygon (what makes a square a square? why is a parallelogram not always a square but a square is always a parallelogram? etc.) Identify the polygon being described
4) Identifying properties:
- lines of symmetry
- rotational symmetry
- parallel sides
5) Vocabulary from math scavenger hunt
6) Naming/classifying angles (acute, obtuse, right, straight)
7) Drawing/constructing angles with specific measurements
8) Drawing/constructing polygons with specific angles and side lengths
9) Know that all angles in a triangle add up to 180 degrees.
10) Sorting/classifying by properties and identifying the sorting rule for quadrilaterals
